This site is now closed and forgotten about....sob, sob..... Simon gets a TAPPIESimon J Hand was awarded a TAPPIE for his exceptional writing skills by Michael Flynn. Particularly appropriate because it was Simon's 40th Birthday (September 2nd).
The Andaman Players are indebted to Simon for producing excellent scripts to work from. Night in a Bar Room and Adjoined have been received with excellent reviews.
Time-Shared (which we perform on October 10th at the Fringe Festival, Playhouse Patong) is another SJH masterpiece.
We also look forward to Pirates of Phuket, the Christmas Pantomime on 26th December 2008. This is yet another SJH penning. The Green Man ShowThe Andaman Players are proud to present two one-act comedies at The Green Man on the 6th September. This will be the very last performance of the two comedies.
If you have not seen them yet then you are missing a treat.
Prices are 500 Baht or 1400 Baht for a meal with wine.

Fringe FestivalThis October sees the first of The Phuket Fringe Festivals. David Shrubsole of Manathai Resorts came up with the idea and as he says "this one will be driven by passion". There are a number of acts involved, TAP, The Dance Academy, The University, a music group from Southern Thailand, a well known singer and lots more. Molly & ErikThe Andaman Players were indeed very fortunate to have had Molly and Erik with them almost since the Players' conception. Molly was a fabulous "Jill" in the Pantomime and we will never forget her performance in the play about blind dates!!! Her monologue about scuba diving was incredible. Erik solved problems without any fuss or bother. He was the ideal man to have 'behind the scenes' and we will be hard pushed to find a suitable replacement. Both added another dimension to our little group. They will both be missed very much. The Andaman Players wish them both all the very best for their forthcoming wedding and we hope that they will come back to Phuket sooner rather than later.
Thank you both for what you did for the Players. It was an honour to work with you both. Forthcoming ProductionsThe Andaman Players have now agreed to the following production dates.
October 4th -14th: Phuket Fringe Festival at the Playhouse in Patong. Here we will be performing the World Premiere of TIME-SHARED another comedy by Simon J Hand. We are also hoping that the film of Night in a Bar Room will be finished by then.
September 6th: Night in a Bar Room and Adjoined at The Green Man, Chalong. This is the very last time that we will be doing this, so get in now!!!
December 26th: The Pirates of Phuket. Pantomime with song and dance at The Green Man, Chalong.

Another fabulous night in Phuket!!Once again the Andaman Players put on a stunning show at The Playhouse in Patong. Another sell out evening and fine performances from everyone.
